Marie Black, 63, of Montesano, passed away at her home March 2, 2010. She was born in Elma on February 21, 1947 to Charles and Maryann (Rhodes) Southard. Marie graduated from Montesano High School then received her Registered Nursing Certificate from Grays Harbor Community College.
She had been a Hairdresser and her last job was as a Registered Nurse for the East Campus of Grays Harbor Community Hospital. Family meant the world to Marie; she spent most of her time with her grandchildren. She loved spending time at the beach, especially the Fourth of July with family and friends. She also enjoyed remodeling her home in Montesano.
Marie is lovingly remembered by her parents, Charles W. and Maryann Southard; her husband of 44 years, Jon; children, Sheri, Mark, Cheryl and James and her grandchildren, Kimberley Kelly and Ryan Black, Nick Kelly, Eric Kelly, Brittney Black, Dillon Dimler, Georgie Kelly, Austin Black, Ashley Black, Jessica Black and Eric Black.
Please join the family for a memorial service at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 27, 2010 at the Montesano United Methodist Church.
